This painting is based on an image taken at the 2010 Walnut Hill Carriage Competition in Pittsford, New York. It is a lovely event. On Sunday morning after the competition ends, the competitors take a morning stroll through Mendon Park. This year it began to drizzle and the pavement had a lovely sheen to it. The strong red diagonals of the cart I found intriguing and I loved the reflections of the hooves on the road. Look for more paintings from this event!
